Buurted Cookie and Consent Policy

Buurted uses cookies and similar storage technologies on web surfaces, and comparable local storage or device identifiers inside the mobile app, to keep the marketplace working and to respect your consent choices.

1. Necessary storage

Necessary storage keeps the app secure and operational. This includes login state, security controls, language and appearance settings, and technical data needed to provide listings, chat, favorites, requests, reservation status, sold-state visibility, unread badges, and notification reliability. These items are always active because the service cannot function properly without them.

2. Analytics

If you allow analytics, Buurted may collect product usage and performance signals to understand which screens, flows, or failures need improvement. This helps Buurted improve search, listing creation, activity flows, and other core marketplace experiences.

3. Personalization

If you allow personalization, Buurted may use your interactions such as favorites, viewed items, category interests, buurt context, and similar marketplace signals to make content, ranking, and recommendations more relevant.

4. Marketing

If you allow marketing, Buurted may use your consent preference to deliver optional feature announcements, campaign messaging, or growth communications. Marketing settings do not change necessary service notifications about account, safety, or transaction events.

5. How choices are stored

Buurted stores consent choices in the app and, for signed-in users, on Buurted servers so choices can be respected consistently when you return to the marketplace. On web surfaces this may use cookies and similar technologies; in the mobile app this may use app storage and device-linked technical identifiers. The structure also supports future expansion to more device-level consent handling where needed.

6. Changing your choices

You can accept all, keep only necessary processing, or customize categories at any time through Buurted's cookie and privacy settings screen in the Profile and Settings area. Updated choices take effect going forward after you save them.
